Project summary:
Politics is scary and scary movies are political. This project examines horror cinema, specifically body horror films, tracking reproduction and birth as a trope in the genre’s history. Historical context and psychoanalytical theories are used to decipher the messages the reproduction trope conveys during its development through time.
