Corey Moore is the Associate Dean for Enrollment and Student Success in the College of Humanities and Sciences. As a member of the college's senior leadership team, he provides strategic leadership for enrollment management and student success initiatives across the various academic departments. Moore provides oversight for the college's academic advising, recruitment, orientation, retention, scholarship administration, and student success efforts while leading initiatives that strengthen enrollment, improve student persistence, and enhance the overall student experience. He also serves as the college's liaison to the university's efforts in enrollment management and advising, working with colleagues across the campus on university-wide initiatives that impact the success of all VCU students.
Moore is deeply committed to creating an educational environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed academically, personally, and professionally. He believes that student success is achieved through intentional collaboration, proactive advising, meaningful engagement, and comprehensive support throughout the student lifecycle. With over 20 years of experience as a student affairs practitioner, Moore has championed initiatives that connect students with high-impact learning experiences, research, internships, scholarships, and career development opportunities that prepare them for success beyond graduation.
Moore earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Tech and a Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University. He is currently (ABD) in the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program in Higher Education Administration.
