As director of sponsored programs, Regina Coles provides oversight on matters involving internally and externally sponsored research and scholarship activities, she also provides technical guidance in the areas of research administration and compliance for the College.
Coles has worked in both medical and university research settings for more than 12 years. She came to VCU in 2012 as a lab coordinator and program administrator, overseeing a portfolio of projects and proposal development in the areas of genetics and substance use/abuse. Before coming to VCU, she managed various projects and clinical trials in the areas of cancer, stroke, chronic disease, health education and behavioral psychology.
Coles is a member of the National Organization of Research Development Professionals, the Society of Research Administrators International and the National Council of University Research Administrators.
