Christiansen's research interests include political leaders, foreign policy, international conflict/cooperation and research methodology.

William Christiansen is an ABD Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Carolina in the Department of Political Science. His dissertation research focuses on how leaders are evaluated for their actions during international conflicts.

Before attending the University of South Carolina in Columbia, he received his master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in political science (M.A./B.A.) and philosophy (B.A.).

He has taught social science research methods for VCU online since 2018 and worked as an instructor at the University of South Carolina teaching in the fields of international relations and comparative politics since 2013.

His research interests include political leaders, foreign policy, international conflict/cooperation and research methodology.
