Punit Gandhi, Ph.D., earned a doctorate in physics from UC Berkeley in 2016. He joins VCU after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Mathematical Biosciences Institute at The Ohio State University.

His current research focuses on mathematical models of emergent phenomena in biological and ecological systems. This includes spontaneous formation of spatial patterns, as well patterns of temporal synchrony.
