As associate dean for undergraduate academic affairs, Dr. Mays has a particular interest in, and places high priority on student success and curricular development/reform within the College.

As associate dean for undergraduate academic affairs, Dr. Mays works in the College’s Office of Student Services. He has a particular interest in, and places high priority on student success and curricular development/reform within the College. His specific responsibilities include leading the retention and graduation efforts for College undergraduates, guiding academic advising within the departments/schools of the College, serving as the College’s point person to resolve student-related problems and issues to serve the best interests of both students and the College, overseeing the CHS undergraduate curriculum committee and representing the College in regards to initiatives and discussions affecting the undergraduate experience at VCU.

In addition to his responsibilities in the Office of Student Services, Dr. Mays is an associate professor in the Department of Statistical Sciences and Operations Research.
